Game of Liverpool too fast for Ndidi-Rodgers

On Saturday, Ndidi returned to training with the Foxes, but was ruled out of Sunday’s Liverpool clash.
Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has announced that Wilfred Ndidi is not going to play against Liverpool on Sunday.
During the Foxes’ victory over Burnley in September, Ndidi suffered a groin injury and has since been left out of play.

Due to an injury issue, the midfielder was also not involved in Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game against Sierra Leone.

Since then the 23-year-old has stepped up recovery and also appeared to have practiced with the team yesterday, but Rodgers ruled out the competition from the former Genk player.

Ricardo is in group training, which is fantastic news, and next week he’ll most likely be playing in a reserve game. He’s doing very well,’ said Rodgers in a press conference before the match.

“There’s Wilf out on the field. He still has some weeks to go but he’s making good strides. Soyüncu, too, may be a couple of weeks out, but he’s training with the team.

After his arrival in 2017 at the King Power Stadium, Ndidi has made more than 120 Premier League appearances for the Foxes.
