The Secretary to the Katsina State Government, Mustapha Inuwa, said that six days after their abduction, students from Kankara Government Science Secondary School in Katsina State were released.
Earlier, Boko Haram, the terror group, claimed responsibility for the abduction and then released a video showing some of the boys suspected to have been kidnapped from the school begging for safe return home.
Gunmen attacked Kankara public school last week and kidnapped over 300 students as reported
On Thursday night, Mr Inuwa told reporters that the released students were being transported tonight from Tsafe town in Zamfara to the Katsina government house.
President Muhammadu Buhari is scheduled to address the students tomorrow morning.
